BlehmoCo BBK + Slotted rotors

Anyone have this setup. I had it (04Irotors Slotted) for a while but was getting horrible vibration when braking so I took it back OEM rotors. Fast forward three months and the rotors are warped to crap again so I'm considering putting the BBK kit back on. What are your experiences or comments on this setup with different kinds of rotors. Thanks.

I had OEM pads then switched to Hawk HPS(did proper bedding procedure). Still got that vibration...Could be the the direction of the slots, I had mine going the "less-agrressive" direction, slots turning into the rotation of the wheel.

I can't get slotted rotors turned right?

technically you can, but most shops will turn you away, as if it's not done right it can ruin their brake lathe used to turn them...also most of them have not done them b4 so they are afraid of ruining your rotors...I used to have the 6th gen irotors slotted as well...no problems when I had them...although I didn't have them very long...if you bedded them in perfectly, then make sure the shop or you is torqueing the lugnuts in the proper 5-lug star pattern and to spec...all of them around 75-80ft./lbs. try to get them all the same with a good torque wrench...also make sure your torque member bolts are tightened down to factory spec as well...105-126ft/lbs. according to the FSM which is a lot!

Hey Matt, I E-mailed you bout your BBK brackets + 2 piece rotors...... let me know if the rotors are available as thats the only way I'm going back to big brakes. 04 rotors weight a ton, seems like more than the Cobra rotors.

I don't think they are any heavier...being as how the 6th gen rotors are .4" smaller in diameter than the cobra's but the same thickness IIRC...meaning difference in area of ~8sq./in on each rotor!

What happened to this?
But you didn't get any increased braking surface, because you used your stock calipers, correct? They shouldn't be warped at all so it's probably just some uneven pad build-up. My 6th gen blank rotors have had a bit of vibration lately but my pads were pretty cheap. Next time I'll do it right so I hopefully won't have that problem any more. Oh and my stock brakes with 40k miles on them were vibration-free.
