Rear wheel spacers.

Does anybody make a spacer the same size a the rear rotor. I have H&R 5 mm spacers but don't want to use them cause the spacer is smaller the the wheel it looks like it's floating off the rotor. If somebody made one the same size as the rotor it would have full contact.

Does anybody have an old rear rotor. I can take the measurements from it and have a set made.

Let me add some pics to what i am talking about. See the area missing with the spacer in place. If the spacer was the same size as the hat of the rear rotor it would have all the contact of not having a spacer there.

wheel witout spacer.

wheel with spacer.

350z track wheel FTW. IMO the spacers are fine. It's, what? about a 5mm difference in diameter? (kinda hard to tell in the pics)

I would feel comfortable if I knew they where the way I would want them. That's the whole reason my H&R spacers are still new.

I don't see how that itty bitty lip is make to take Any stress.

I wouldn't use a spacer without a hub centric lip anyway.

it doesn't sound like he is worried about the lip not making contact as much as he would like the look of a larger diameter spacer. a diameter the same size as the brake rotor, i think?

I agree with what he said ^^^

It's not a big deal and will not effect anything. Does it really make a difference whether or not it's the exact diameter? NO.

I want one the size of the rotor. I got to get new brakes for the rear so I am just going to take my old rotor and make a spacer using it for size.

cosmetically speaking, i see what your saying. mechanically speaking, as long as the spacer and wheel are both hubcentric, your set up is good to go.

Depends on width and offset.

what are some of the pros and cons of a spacer? it definitely looks better, but does it improve handling? is it safe in terms of the rim not falling off? lol and do people usually do the rears only?

matt93SE knows his crap. If he tells you something about a maxima, you can pretty much take is as fact. I would run them, it shouldn't matter that they are a tiny bit smaller.
