Proper touchup paint application?

Last time I tried to apply touchup paint it ended up looking like crap. It's really thick, and the brush doesn't seem to work precisely. Is there a certain way to do it so it looks unnoticeable?

i read somewhere that to apply it to line scratches to use a toothpick it may sound fake but it works, use the toothpick to get as little paint as possible if it makes a bubble (in the tip of the toothpick then insert it again in the paint and try it again) hope that helps.

Just don't touch it up. It will most likely not match and IMO is a waste of time and money. For minor scratches (not deep) use a scratch removal substance that you can get at autozone.
