in/out size for catalytic converter

what is the in/out size for the stock exhaust pipe 95 maxima... i found a cheap catalytic converter... all i need to know is what size... 2.25" in/out... 2.5" in/out... i'm thinking 2.5", my setup is stock... this will be the first time i'll take out the stock converter and weld in the universal since a direct oem fit was too expensive...

if i get a 2.5"... would it be easier to weld... 2.25" would go inside the 2.5" and weld without having to worry much about leaks.... or is it recommended to weld a 2.25" to a 2.25"...

is there a way to measure it...

should weld no probs..that's what I have with my stock b-pipe. My Budget y-pipe bolts directly to my magnaflw hi-flow cat (which are both 2.5")
