Illumination on Auto Climate Control Buttons Stop Working Again

I replaced my Bose headunit with Premier Deh-p580mp few months ago( I didn't replace the bose speakers).

As soon as I installed the headunit the illumination on climate control buttons stoped working. So I bought new bulbs from the stealership for almost $30 and illumination worked again.

After 2 months one of the bulbs stoped working, and now only the Auto and Econ buttons are lit up.

Also since I installed the new headunit I started getting a slight electric shock when I touch the metal around ignition switch(when I remove the key) and sometimes from the car's body.

I think it's because I connected the "Power antenna" and "Bose Speaker Amp Turn On" wires with Pioneer's "Remote" wire. (In this specific headunit there is no other way to connect these wires).

If I will replace the bose speakers with regular non-amplified pioneer speakers will it solve the problem ? I don't feel like spending $30 on new bulbs every 3 months.

Here's the pic of the headunit:

oddly when i put in my apline radio my ACC bulb did the same. 2 of the 4 went out. while i had it out i bought $10 for 50 LED and used about 10 total and re-did the entire car. not a problem anymore, i also wired it the same as you but no shock or anything.

I don't have experience with leds , so I replaced them with bulbs.

The only concern is that my bulbs went out twice

could be just bad filament bulbs. i mean it can happen. the bulb gets thrown around and gets weaker.

oh dude. you can get those bulbs from radio-shack for $3 for 2. there was a couple post back then.

i dont know exactly. but i think these would come close

anything with the two legs like that should fit in. for the AC bulbs on LED you just solder the resistor on the postive leg and run the 2 legs into the bulb holder and wrap it the way you took it off. sand off the bulb a little and your done.

Wow , that's a good idea , I never thought about it.

So I can use any led bulb and put it inside the bulb holder without the resistor ?
