everytime I race and I'm at wide open throttle ill be going t the end of my third gear and start to slow down I'll shift into neutral and my car turns off. what could be wrong?

 

check your vaccum line or may be its time for you to check your codes

 

could be a long shot but might be your MAF

 

how fast were you going and are you sure your max is the SE version?

 

i'm sure its the SE version no limiter or anything like that someone else told me I could be getting too much air or somehting like that but the only code i have if for my third o2 sensor witch has an o2 simulator on it. and thats weird to because every other time i got to check the code the reader will say no diagnostic codes but the light will stay on

 

stalling on heavy decel could be the IAC sticking closed

 

stop racing, that might fix it.

 

The car wont turn off due to a sped limiter, so that throws that idea out the window.

 

thats what was happening to my friend in his 2000 se maxima but the car dident throw any codes and it was his maf that was bad.He put in a new MAF and hes all good to go now no more problems.

 

did you try resetting the ecu??? if you did you prolly jus forgot to turn the screw all the way jus guessing mine did that when i was messing with mine year ago

 

no i haven reset the ecu i am going to do that and maybe it is my MAF three other people told me that was probably the problem so i am going to try that thanks guys
