Hesitation when it rains
Hesitation when it rains
When it rains my car has been getting extreme hesitation in different revs, sometimes as low as 2000 RPM. I have a check engine light for rear o2 sensor, crankshaft postion sensor and egr solenoid valve. This three sensors will be replaced sometime during the week. My question is if there is anything else that might be causing the hestation??

well, if it's only when it rains, it might be the belt or pulley. But you have to replace those things anyways. while you're under there, just loosen up the pulley, spray some wd40 on the pulley and change the belt.

If wetness provokes the problem does that suggest electrical, especially where high voltages are concerned? Maxi has individual ignition coils and thus no high voltage on the outer wires, so I'm not sure where the humidity could be causing your trouble. Hopefully replacing the faulty crankshaft postion sensor will solve it.

egr selenoid valve is likely just the peice of hose running directly underneath it has corroded and fallen apart, was for me anyways. Fix other problems first, and clear codes, yeah Iduty had same thoughts as me, usually that's an indication of plug-wires. What crankshaft position sensor, ref or pos?
