00vi cup position....driving me CRAZY
00vi cup position....driving me CRAZY
I've been dealing with this problem ever since i swapped an 00vi on my car. Up until about a week ago, i kept JB welding it and it kept breaking. Last week, i welded the cup in there, so it's not loose now. The problem now is that i welded it in the wrong spot i'm pretty sure. Here's how i tested it:
Set activation point to 4k....did a 2nd and 3rd gear run, and when the car hit 4k, there was practially no power dip. Tried this with 3.5k, and same result.
Damn cup is in the wrong position, i checked to see if it's physically opening, and it is. Getting the weld out of there won't be a problem, so i just need to know where EXACTLY the cup has to be. I searched, and people said 3 o'clock...i just really need a confirmation.
So will somebody please tell me EXACTLY where the cup has to be, be as percise as possible! This is driving me insane

Just checked mine, and its exactly like yours is, so thats not the problem.....Took the power rod out and the car feels almost same as it did with the 00vi "working".
Can anybody give me some hits here?

Got VAFC2, tried setting to different RPM's with same results. I checked the opening mechanism and it physically turns when set RPM is reached. The cup is welded in there so i know it's attached to the mechanism. Took it out and checked today, solid.
