17x8 wheels w/ 225/50 tires

Anyone here have PICS of a 17x8 wheel and 225/50 tires mounted? I would like to see if or how much stretching there is, I'm hoping I don't need to look for new tires, thanks much!

225/50 should be almost square on an 8" rim, you should be fine. There'll be a little stretching but nothing that's too noticeable.

Oh yeah, wrong forum...

I'm running 225/40/18 on a 7.5 inch rim. Too skinny. The rim protector on the tire does absoutely nothing to protect the rim. Minimum should have been 245.
My bad.
I'll try to get a decent picture in the next day or 2.

+1. Ya I think your right about going with 245's. 225's just wouldn't look good.

i have 235 on 7.5". they sit really well. the rim protector is in just the right spot. maybe it varies slightly by tire?
