So I was watching Speed TV and one of the shows advertised Bar's Leaks products and one in particular was supposed to fix engine oil leakage. So I got curious and checked out the website. Here are the products I gathered and wanted to know which one would be best to use:

http://www.barsproducts.com/4416.htm this one looks good as well b/c I read that the oil for our car escapes b/c of the bad rings on the pistons

no product made to "prevent oil consumption and burning" will work.

trust me....i have tried several including the Bar product. they did nothing to reduce my burning.

i have a thread in the all motor forum about my plan to replace the rings.

 

well from what I've heard it's the piston rings that are the cause. If that's the case the only cure is to replace them. Honestly sounds like a good excuse to add some higher compression pistons and real rings.

our problem isnt caused by normal wear or dried seals...its the rings
