Clearence issues, any ideas?

I have a 4th gen. I recently got G35 wheels with their stock tires on my car. Over the past few weeks I noticed that the rear tires have strips coming off. At first I thought it was becasue I was hitting curbs or something. Today I found out its because the side of the tire rubs against the inside of the fenders/wheel well when I turn too sharply or hit deep potholes since the G35 wheels are wider and stick out more. I also have Eibach springs all around and my struts are shot. I have brand new KYB AGX's that I will install in the next week or so. Do you guys think that will fix the problem? Should I put the stock springs back on? If not, any ideas? I'd really hate to have to part with the G35 wheels...

What size tires are on the g35? Perhaps try narrower tires?

^^What size? Someone said 245/40/18...will 5mm really make a big diff? I dont have $ to go out and get a set of tires. Should I just switch the fronts and rear for now?

Look at the grooves being cut in the tires. Are they more than 5mm deep? If not, then the 5mm will take care of the problem.

If you don't have the $$$ for new tires, you may want to get springs that don't drop as dar, like Tein H-Techs or even H&Rs.

That is cheaper than tires, and you can sell the Eibachs.

45 sidewall is too big for 18 inch wheels. I have 245/40-18 with a 40mm offset and i tuck tire in the back which rubbed the tire until i rolled the fenders.

No they're both 18X8. At least the ones I have, the 7 spoke. The newer ones, the double 5 spoke are 19X8 front and 19X8.5 rear.

Was it a shop that did this or did you do it by yourself?

Well after I installed AGX's and switched the fronts with the rears the problem went away, at least for now. When I get new tires I'll get 235/40 all around, but for now the fronts are a bit wider than the rears, hardly noticable.

Thanks for everyones help.
