GPS woes, any ideas?

Hello all. Recently I bought a Garmin C340 GPS which attaches to the windshield with a clip on & locking mount. I have a subwoofer in the trunk that provides for a lot of vibration, and this GPS is constantly flying off the windshield smashing down on other plastics or flying at me. I can't keep the GPS constantly attached as I work in a city and have to leave my car unattended in a parking garage for several hours, as well as go to college in a neighborhood where anything you leave in your car will get stolen. So, I am looking for an alternative in any way on how to make this thing stick better. When I first bought the GPS it stayed attached to the windshield no problem for a two hour ride with bass turned up much higher than I have been listening to it lately. However, since, it continuously drives me crazy flying off the windshield. I already have a nice scratch on the LCD of this $400 unit thanks to this poor craftsmanship. I have not yet cleaned the windshield or the mount with a glass wipe, which is my next step. However, I recently have had my 02 Maxima in the shop to have my ABS fixed, so I was using this in my mom's 97 Maxima and still had it come flying at me a few times. Is there any alternative to this mount (another product available to hold the GPS) for this model of Garmin GPS? I have searched on google and have not gotten many results. Certainly someone else here must have experienced woes with a GPS due to bass, and I'm wondering if anyone has any good ideas on how to fight back at the product and just make it stick, without gluing the mount to my windshield. Thanks for your time, and I hope that simply wiping down the glass is the solution I need.

They will probably charge nearly the cost of a new unit but just buy a new suction cup.. they must sell as spares somewhere

I have the exact same unit and this does not happen. I would say a defective suction cup. Call Garmin and get a new one. They don't ask questions as long as you are in your one year window.

Like I said, this does not happen to me. Same unit same car.

Maybe give the window a decent clean.. if its got any greasey film at all the suction cup won't stick too good
