Resolved : Fuel pump followup.

I had started a thread about my 1990 SE not starting. I was NOT hearing the "eeerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr" sound that normally indicates the fuel pump pressuring the system.
Well, after buying another vehicle for the Wife, I decided it was time to sell the maxima. So before listing a car that would need towing, I took the back seat out, Wires looked fine. I then took off the metal casing that hides the pump itself[as suggested by some .org members].

Wow! 4 of the 5 wires connecting the fuel pump were mutilated. I say mutilated because I can't tell if they were chewed, or corroded, or both. Anyway, I re-connected them and the car started. Woo hoo !

Unfortunatly, as we no longer need the car, it is now for sale in the 'For Sale' section. [ See it now ]

I may part out if there are no best offers at or over $500 within a week or so.

but as you can see... the GXE tail looks REALLY bad next to the black trunk finisher panel, compared to the stock SE tail. So my car looks really weird since it's a GXE with a black trunk finisher (swapped on the GXE-red panel's chrome trim) and stock GXE lights. But the red shade of those GXE lights looks kinda rubbishy next to the black thing. (http://s164.photobucket.com/albums/u...0modification/) Holy crap I'm off topic.

I should check my fuel pump harness too, since i still have not diagnosed my intermittent low-throttle just-after-startup sputter that causes my car to almost shut off, then suddely return to life. I was hoping it was the TPS but that appears not to be the case.

Never had one with mis matched taillights
though there is the one that barely had tail lights
gotta think about this blown tranny one that's up for sale by me.
Meh, I'll probably get the sentra, and give my brother the wagon.

Regarding the mis-matched taillight....The previous owner got that after a big truck's all steel "bumper-gaurd" backed into it. since it was the wifes car AND she never noticed it.....it did'nt bother me :-)

I will post some interior pics in the next day-or-two.
