O2 Sensor Removal

Whats the easiest way to remove the O2 sensor near the fire wall? I got under there and could not find the space to get it out. I have the special socket, but when I finally got the ratchet on it there was no space to move. Do I have to remove the exhaust to get at it? P.S. All three bolts on the exhaust are rusted I don't want to create a bigger problem trying to remove it if I don't have to.

Use a 7/8 open end wrench.

1. Spray a lot of WD-40 or PB blaster (?) on the O2 sensor.
2. Start the engine and warm the car (exaust system).
3. Don't use the O2 sensor socket since it sucks.
4. Use a big channel wrench to get the sensor out.
