at the end of the arm theres a little bubble if you will, you pop it off via butternife or whatever theres a 14mm bolt i believe you take it off and your arms just sittin there pull it off sand it down and get to the task, thanks by the way i was a little confused but i know you can put just one on there in a order and it gets the whole windshield, might not be from a maxima though, anyways thanks

Painting wiper arms. That's on my list of to do's. What grit sandpaper did you use? 2000? Also curious to know what kind of spray paint you're using. Anything in particular or just regular ole flat black from whomever?

Thanx for your insight

even though you werent referring to me, i washed mines down, let it dry in the sun, then sprayed Flat black from Rustelon at homedepot. 2 -3 coats of that and a gloss top coat. Looks brand new!

I didn't even sand them down since the paint didn't flake off. Just faded. If I had more time, I would of sand them down. It gets the surface smoother and the paint to stick better but I was satisified with my results.

As for paint, I used Semi-Gloss Rustelon(?). Picked up a can at Walmart for under $5.

3 coats later, looks just like new.

Thanks for your input gentlemen.

Reckon I'll go find some Rust-Oleum this weekend and have a go at it myself. Probably get the semi-gloss outright so as skip the final gloss app. Should look the same. Anyway.............

What grit sandpaper did you use aznprid?

I would say start with a 400 then work your way to 800 or 1000.
