RPM's Gone Wild

Ok. Here's what's happening. Yesterday when I was sitting in my car, the Rpm's would rise from about 500 to about 1500 and go back down. It did this about 3 or 4 times then it stopped.
As I was exiting an offramp doing about 70, when I hit the brakes the Rpms dropped all the way down to about 200.
Now it's doing it just about everytime that I brake from high speeds. What gives? Is it my tranny going out or something? It still shifts smooth other than from 1st to 2nd. Not too bad but the only real noticeable one.

Also, when I put on the Injen Intake, it would do this while I was driving. The RPMs would jump up and down while driving.
