Help me decide on suspension...

I have a 99 maxima se completly stock besides CIA. Im gonna order some 18's or 19's x 9 or 9.5 rims. My question is though How should i lower the max. Handling isnt a priority as long as its atleast as good as stock or better ill be happy. I just want a slammed stance where the wheels i go with sit up in the wheel well about a 1/4 inch. I dont want to bag it, so either springs or coil overs.

I really dont want to spend 1500 +++ on coil overs so if i do coilovers i would like a cheaper but respectable alternative. My main concern is to keep the handling like stock or improve it, and get a cool slammed look.

Thanks for any suggestions. I would really like pics to show what i can expect with all the suggestions also.

If you don't care about handling or ride but want to slam that bish, ksport coilovers are the way to go. Easily had for well under $1k shipped.

If you are going to put 18's or 19's on and want to slam it, you are NOT going to have a ride ANYWHERE close to stock. Sorry.

404 ride reference not found. He was talking about handling.

If you want to slam it that low, you definitely need coilovers. I second the motion for Ksports.

spring and shocks wont give u a drop anywhere close to what you are looking for. get the K sport coilovers. i wanted the exact samething as you. slammed on big wheels. right now i have k sports and 19" tucking. handling is much better than stock but ride quality is nowhere near stock. be prepared to feel every rock on the road. and forget about starbucks coffee sitting in your cup holder on your way to work. that ***** will bounce right out and all over u !

er....last I checked, taking turns is a big part of handling....

besides, you're hardly what I would call "slammed"...you're just tucking a bit.

I think what he means is that while the car won't actually be able to corner much faster, it will feel better.
