Once again.... now engine dies at higher rpms?
Once again.... now engine dies at higher rpms?
So I have a 92 VE auto, its back together and it wants to die after about 3 or 4 grand, any suggestions? The car has been on its way to getting fixed for about 2 years now, and I have had a 'few' problems. The guy that torn my engine apart and rebuilt it was
A)a cheapskate,
B)an f@cking a-hole
C)and knew enough about chevy motors to talk me into letting him rebuild mine?!?
I know this doesnt make any sense, and I deserve some flaming here, but I need to figure out what to do with my baby. It seems to be one problem after the next, and I need to either sell it or fix it. I want someone from the Omaha, NE area, and from the Org here to help me fix it. Physically come and fix it with/for me. So if your interested in that let me know, please. Or refer me to a place around here I can trust. Otherwise I am going to have to deal with one problem at a time and slowly and surely. Thanks for the help and the loss of my baby has been difficult enough, so not to much slapping me around. Also want to thank the others that have already helped me with so many other little things, like the inhibitor switch and the vacuum lines.
heres part one of my story...

also the new mechanic fixed a few small things, and did it really cheap, but a week or so ago his wife left him. So ya I aint gonna be asking him for alot of help with this anymore. He's got other things to deal with.

Did you follow the diagrams on your other post to cut and connect all hoses? Once thats done here is your checklist for trouble:
1. ignition coils, test resistance and look for cracks.
2. injectors, test resistance.
3. alternator/starter/battery, have alternator and starter bench-tested. I'm sure there is a repair place in Omaha that deals specifically in alternators/starters, they are just about everywhere else. If those are working, jump-start every time you try to start.
4. ground wires, make sure all are connected and have good contact.
5. spark plugs, make sure your chevy guy put the right ones in
6. fuses, make sure none are blown, especially if its something obvious like the fuel pump fuse
These are good steps to take before inviting someone to come and help with repair, because im sure no one would want to drive up and sit around while youre waiting for one of these parts to ship in. Good luck, I hope you get her running again.

Got ya on this one. This weekend I will be going over this stuff. I have however made a little indiscretion, I went to the nissan dealership and ended up leaving with an 03 SE. So.... ya, I should get the 92 VE auto up and running, but I think I might just put her up in the sales section. NOT because I dont love her, but because I have to make sure I take care of my 03. We'll see whats what with my 92 this weekend.
