Ah right, my next idea would have been to search a forum I never heard of

OK, so basically the OEM IM is split into two plenums for each bank of cylinders, and the SSIM mod brings them all together, increasing the effective intake manifold plenum volume and helping the motor breathe better at high RPMs.

Now my question is, can this be done on VQ30 IMs? I think I saw somewhere that someone did it to a DE-K...

why would you WANT to do it on a 00VI? it already breathes very well up top and you wont lose the torque you have down low, leave the 00vi alone
