strange shaking problem. help!

so i went over to my girl's house on friday after work to get **** faced for her birthday party. parked my baby in her garage and didnt drive it till sunday. sunday morning woke up with a hang over found my keys and jumped in my max to go to the store.
i pulled outta the driveway (nicely no problem). put it in drive, drove it a block. as soon as i hit the brake to stop at a stop sign, almost **** my pants cause maxy started shaking. so i got scared and let go of the brake. turned left drove may be half a block and then i hit the brake all the way it shoke a little bit and it came to a stop. drove it all day sunday to now never did that again.
i told my bro about it and he said it did the same thing to him too when he took my car camping. it seems that everytime its parked for a couple of days and you fire it up it does that on the first stop and then thats it. any ideas to wats happening?

Use free search there's alot of info on this. Check for low fluid, warped rotors or sticking piston. Lubricate all parts with appropriate grease/ fluid.

Although a conclusive diagnosis is only possible with actually getting a chance to experience this concern and utilizing a scan tool, but from my knowledge, the intermittent shaking you're describing sounds like a sticking caliper piston seal (very likely) or the torque converter lockup clutch engaging prematurely (possible from low fluid level or running overheated, burnt ATF).

If its your brakes- if your piston seal is swelling or becoming stiff and worn, it can stick in its bore especially after letting it sit for a while, and if the ABS modulator is trying to engage your caliper piston at several hundred psi and is being held back, the wheel speed sensor will sense a slipping condition and increase the output pressure pulses drastically, causing a dramatic momentary shudder. Warped rotors can aggravate and contribute to this, so you should have both inspected carefully next time you get your brake pads done.

How many miles on the car? Probably a lot. I would do a proper transmission fluid flush as part of a necessary preventive maintenance. When I say flush I mean a pressurized flush rather than a simple drain and fill, although that would probably help as well. Pay close attention to the condition of the fluid (look for a brownish color or specks of friction material that look like black pepper) and don't forget to also flush the transmission in/out lines and the transmission cooler (inside the radiator) to remove as much contamination as possible. You should check your fluid level (BOTH sides of the dipstick) at operating temperature, with the engine running. A stall test can be performed to diagnose a faulty TC but I dont recommend you attempt it without a solid knowledge of automatic transmissions.

As far as the 0505 code, it happens when you "clear the CEL". I assume this means you either disconnected the battery until the computers' capacitors expended their keep-alive power supply or directly through the diagnostic screw on the ECM, either way you just cleared your computers memory of everything, including essential component function data. Look up "drive cycle" as it pertains to OBD2 operation. You can find out the exact procedures for a drive cycle and once you complete the enabling criteria the 0505 code will go away and any actual codes that may have will become apparent via the MIL (CEL). Good luck!
