Need direction upgrading 4th gen brakes.
Now before you all flame me I HAVE read the stickies, but there is still quite some confusion. I'm more of an se-r man and we don't have as many options as this community does and it = to less confusion. Anyway I want to upgrade the front brakes on my bro's 4th gen and need some direction. Keep in mind I'd like to stay away from milling any rortors. So far I think I've learned the following:
-J30 calipers w/12.6 rotors + matt's brackets or
-300z TT Calipers w/cobra 13" rotors + jeff's brackets n things or
-complete 6th gen swap which would increase unsprung weight and require drilling of the torque member holes on the spindle.
Not sure if all those were correct, so please chime in guys and remember I'd like to stay away from milling rotors.

out of all the 3 options provided i would easily go with 300zxTT calipers & 13" cobra rotors. you can mix and match your first two choices in any way. its a simple swap with no extra modification required.

Ok I just visited Blehco's website and I really like what I saw and compared to what willwood kits are priced for sentra's I think the 12.6" rotors and 300z calipers are at a killer price and I'm feelin it. I would just like to see now what jeff has to offer, so if someone can point me to a website or his full name on org. I'll shoot him a pm.
If you haven't tried Hawk HPS (or similar = good) pads, I'd try that before you go bigger, unless you're in it for the looks.
Keep in mind bigger brakes will also give a good increase to unsprung rotating mass unless you get your hands on some 2-piece rotors ($$).

-SS brake lines all around
-Super ATE brake fluid
-Carbotech bobcats pads all around(not sure if they make them for the fronts)
I have this setup on my sentra using 4th gen maxima rears, 11" rotors upfront with relocated NX2000 calipers, a 95 Altima master cylinder and this things stops on a dime. From speeds especially above 100mph it feels like someone is literally pulling the car back. I'm home for close to or the same effect on his max, and still keeping the cost down. We'll see if it works.....
