Strange front suspension noises
I have some strange suspension noises, and cannot figure it out at all...
The sound: I can liken to braking very lightly on rusty rotors (like after a wash) but still letting the car roll, however this sound is brief and louder.
When: It only happens once the front suspension has "sat down" after braking to a stop from just about any speed, but always to a complete stop. Afterwards, I get the sound when accelerating from that stop, as the suspension on the front unloads. Simply rolling from the stop is not enough to hear anything, it needs to be opened up a bit. If I open it up from a roll I still hear it.
Location: I think I heard it near both the left and right wheels at different times, but its hard to isolate from inside the car.
If I rock the car a bit while its parked, there are no such noises. I also dont hear this noise on sharp turns. I havent taken a look yet under it yet, the weather has been wet and nasty.
In March I got new struts, arms, and links, so I dont think any of that stuff can get ruined that quick. Last week I got new tires, and had everything aligned and balanced. The car drives straight, turns sharp, and brakes straight. There is no play in the steering as far as I can tell.
I thought my pads may be getting stuck to the rotors for a bit, but it doesnt seem to make sense because on a simple roll I dont hear anything.
