My last thread, "How do I hook a turn signal up to this" worked out great, I'm hoping you guys can help me out here.


A mean *** fence came by one night and ripped my corner light out, that is whats left. Closer inspection reveals that the light was 100% ripped out except for the little tabs where it screws in, so I should have no problem fastening another light up to that... but what do I do about the light bulb and socket itself, that wire poking out.. I'm assuming that their should have been a socket and light bulb connected to that, right?. What do I need to do/buy to get that light working...


Also I plan to buy a new corner light off of someone on the site here, how do I screw it into those screw holes? Do I have to take the headlight off?


Please help!

 

i don't think there are any screws here. first, you need to get a flathead and pry off the broken plastic piece (lower left) from the metal. you definitely need a new bulb and its bracket. soder the the wires and pop the corner lens in.

 

Can I buy that bracket for the bulb at a pepboys?

The two things I circled in this pic may not have been screws, but they did look llike it when I was checking it out. Are those the things you are saying I should pry off?

 

I know the bottom piece needs to come off. that's where the lens pops in and out. I'll check tomorrow afternoon for the top part.

damn... i guess i forgot there was one screw on top. I can't tell by the pic, but i think the top piece needs to come off. i'm guessing all you have to do is just buy the lens and bracket. I don't know about pep boys but check courtesy parts in texas. http://www.courtesyparts.com/betasit...1822_1832.html ...

The storys:

One day I was pulling in to get gas. The weather was crazy the few days before. I go to pull up to a gas pump but oh... the stupid mother______s that run the place neglected to even put salt on the 1 inch block of ice that covered their entire parking lot. I slid right into a concrete blockade and that was that.

Skip to a year or two later and I am driving my buddy home and he starts barfing out the passenger side window. "oh no you don't!" So I pull down a side street and as I'm driving down I realize its a one way, a LOOOONG one way, and I'm going the wrong way. So I go to turn into a drive way to back out the other way but I didn't even see the fence. Turned my front into it while back out... Ya that sucked.

Hmm and then a week later some D-bag pulled into my lane with out checking to see if I was there first and hit the other side. Small dent on that, but I had to slam on my breaks and these cheap *** tires have flat spots in them now.

So now I need to fix those lights up and pull some dents and I will be good as new.. sortof.

well that's philly for ya...if you have 17's i got 3 tires laying around that i could sell.
