suggestions about low hanging b-pipe

thinking about installing my coilovers today but i need to fix my sagging b-pipe.
its a cattman and i know there not suppose to sag. saw near the y-pipe area the rubber hangers were stretched a lot and was thinking of replacing those.

i'm prob gonna have to unbolt everything and individually raise each component, esp the y-pipe if i'm gonna attach the new hangers. will this help any?
what other factors could contribute to the low hanging b-pipe, i mean the hangers and the exhaust are all fitted correctly...

Replace those old worn out hangers. Walkers exhaust (google) sells replacement hangers that are stiffer than stock, and should fix the problem.

Go to a hardware store and pickup some hose clamps and use them to tighten/stiffen the rubber hangers. Works like a charm and they somewhat make the hangers "adjustable". Pick it up from a muffler shop. Neat trick.

well i just finished looking underneath and the hangers don't really do much.
there needs to be another hanger support where the b-pipe goes around the spare tire area. everything is hooked up right, with new hangers, but that part still has play. thinkin about just welding another support to the torsion bar...

I'm off to do just this. I will take some before and after pics and post them here in about a week. The trick is I need to make something that will use the existing rubber mounts so the clamp is the easy part but the rod will be hard to find and bend just right.

Get some zipties and a piece vinyl tube. Jack the resonator up as far as it would go. Cut the vinyl tube to appropriate length. Loop the vinyl tube over the metal piece where the rubber hanger is attached to. Bla bla bla....

The rubber hanger is still there, just in case the vinyl tube and the ziptie "mod" fails.

Wow, I did not think the plastic could take the heat, so that is good to know. I would cut the extra length on those ties though.

My issue is that the upper two front hangers that were welded onto the b-pipe are rusted off. I'll put a pic after I get it done. I might go to the local junk yard to see if I get lucky and get a whole thing from the y-pipe back.

I ended going to Home Depot Auto Department and getting the same u-clamps as pictured above. I also got the Stainless screw clamps and a roll of galvanized strapping. All this was for Plan B as I went to my local u-pick junk yard and found a good b-pipe with a rust free muffler. The problm was I could not get it off . So Plan B...

I went to the shop and they said that they use Stainless screw clamps (as to not crush the pipe or add to the rust problem with heat) for this kind of repair but they were out of larger ones. Good thing I brought my own. The repair worked great. I do not think this is a permanent solution but it will last at least a few years. I would like to add a y-pipe + cat back over the next year or so anyway.

Anyway, my system is hung at the right hight and there is no rattling. I will post a pic when I get a chance.
