SES light after Spark plug change on VQ35

I just replaced the spark plugs, but not long after, the Check Engine Light came on. The idle was also high (1000 rpm in Park). The only thing "wrong" I may have done is that when the air intake plenum was off, I used a bit of throttle body cleaner to wipe off the gunk inside.

Any ideas as to why the light would come on, and the idle high? I've got the FAQ for the SES reset, but thought I'd post anyways to see if this has happened to others who did plugs or not.

Thanks.

Ack! So SilverMax, did people end up having to replace anything? I was thinking that too, but I didn't drench the TB, and thought a shallow clean was better than nothing. I just pushed the butterfly back, squirted a bit, and wiped, making sure not to use too much solution.

Anyways, I followed the reset procedure, and the light went off. Idle is still high at 1000 rpm though.

Is disconnecting the negative terminal necessary at this point?

Mine seems to be fine after I let it sit with the negative cable disconnected for a few days.

Quick update, kind sirs. My buddy helped me with an idle re-learn on his OBD2 + laptop combo, but it wouldn't respond. So then I disconnected the negative terminal overnight, and even though the SES does not come on anymore, the idle is still high (850 rpm under load at NOT). What I did this morning was disconnect negative terminal again, but this time, I stepped on the brake pedal, held it for 30 seconds, and pumped it a few more times so I can use up any residual power left to completely drain the ECU's capacitors of any memory.

If the above doesn't work, throttle replacement time. Nissan dealer sells a re-manufactured one now that's cheaper, and apparently more beefed up. Will a new throttle chamber require a re-learn?
