How can I remove the trim piece around the stereo off? I wanna remove the aftermarket CD player in it now, and replace it with a new upgraded one. I know how to do the install, just don't wanna break any panels.

Is there a how to on this?

Pull out the shifter trim first.

Undo the screws that you see. There should be 4 -6. Too pull the panel around the vents and the hazard switch, you just have to pull it really hard.

I think someone has directions scannned for this.

I'm going to install a cd player some time soon and i'll put a how-2 up on it.

Thanx NickStam, I didn't know where the point were to remove the panel. Alot of installationsI have donehave been really brittle, so I didn't wanna crack mine. Now that I know where the screws are I can go ahead and remove it.

Well I did it.

I played it by sight, and found the necessary screws that allow me to take off the center panels, and remove the radio.

Apparently whoever had done the stereo installation, was a professional. It took me about twice as long to remove the radio compared to installing the new one.

I finally got it done, but what ticked me off the most, was that the stereo I had here wantin to install, didn't have a power antenna lead for my antenna. So, I have not as much reception as I would like. Kinda sucks.
