I was blasting down a 2 lane mountain road last night coming back from the lake. Very twisty, very hilly, and VERY dark.

We crested a hill @ about 55 (which was pretty fast for the road, but the posted speed... I cant see how a hoopty would make it. I have to go about 35 in the pathfinder down the same stretch).

Just then a little bunny darted out and ran across the road. He was pretty easy to miss, but I was like "*whew*, wish I'd seen him sooner, that was close! I need those HID's on the new maxima". She said "well, by all means, get them!" I said "I think they are about $400-ish" Her, "Just do it.. you need them. What are you waiting for?"

Thanks Easter Bunny, check your hole for that 20-spot and bundle carrots we agreed on!

hmmm ... u could've expanded on that by braking @ the last second .. & saying that if u had a big brake the car would stop in shorter distances!

Be sure to throw away the remote control to the bunny so your wifey don't find it! If she knew it was an RC bunny she would be mad!

Tim...what's your number? Maybe your wife could talk some sense into my wife and convince her to get those HID's!!! Currently she thinks it would only be a "cosmetic" upgrade...well..it is but maaybe the "safety" approach is the way to go...

When you drive w/ the wife on the freeway at night. Try to pull next to a Mercedes/Porsche/2002 maxima/TL etc..anything w/ HIDs. Ask her to note how far/clear the hids look compared to the normal halogens. I did that and my wife said, wow...I see your point. To bad I can't get hids for my 3-gen.

btw...

dont try to substitute an armadillo for the bunny....

Armadillo = new front cap... and I dont think anyone is dying for that new grill and sharper edged bumper.

also, the bunny is union (Furry Woodland Creatures, Local 103). he gets double time and a half for Sundays. He also gets hazard pay for night crossings and 4 lane highways.

ahhh, the SC

well.... I need to 'accidentally' cut off some redneck in a old pickup! "*whew* we lost him.. you know, if I had that SC, we could have just left him standing still... It's really for safety!"

Cost? another 20-spot and a case of cheap beer.

The "bunny thing" still might work for the s/c or maybe even a new 2002 Maxima, e.g.

"Gee honey, if we had more power and were going faster, we would have been here way before that bunny got in the road in the first place."

(Unless, of course you find yourself hopelessly stuck behind one of those notoriously really slow Honda products on a two lane road with double yellow lines - then you're screwed no matter what!)
