Hello-

The Dunlop 5K's is my first aftermarket tires that were put on my Max since I got this car used a few years ago. I have been riding on stock Toyo's since then. I have been at the track and pulled a 13.388 @ 88mph with bald and useless Toyo's. Since I got the Dunlops a week ago, I have been driving like a maniac and have been taking turns like a racecar driver. These tires are so grippy. I rememmber when I used to take this turn on the highway at 90mph and the tires would screech through out the whole turn and now there is nothingt but silence and all grip. Although there is more roll since my rims are 16x6.5 and tires are 225/50, thre is extra grip since they are ZR tires. Maybe I am thinking that these tires are very good since i never owned a ZR tire before, but compared to my stock toyo's, these tires are pretty good tires. Also, in the rain, these tires are much more better than the sotck tires. They have much more grip. i have not gone to the track yet but I believe that i can pull at least a 15.2 at the quarter.

Question for you guys who own this tire- do you feel more roll w/ these wider tires?

I agree, SP5000s are good all-season tires, and I am very satisfied with their performance on dry roads, during rain and even snow. I run 225-55/16s and don't really feel any noticable roll. The only thing is I started taking turns like crazy after my new suspension upgrade, so I hear them screech more often.

I have them and love the performance, but their rapid wear is just too much for me. I can't justify the price. I hate tires. They cost way too much money.
