I think it looks sweet to a certain extent. I really dont like it when it is only like 1/2" off of the ground, but like a 1.5" would look sweet.

To answer this question you have to ask your self:

"4x4-like wheelgap: Ugly or Sexy?"

Personally I'd rather my Max have the stance of a Z than that of a Pathfinder.

hehe
Maybe a slight drop in the maxi. Nothing like the guy with the p-shopped I30 pic in this thread...egads. I think my bigwheel had more ground clearance.

Everyone these days is allergic to any bit of wheel gap at all. My max isn't going anywhere with the roads here. Practically need a lift kit to give it that Range ground clearance to escape the holes and hills found in the pavement here.

I personally think aggressively slammed & kitted cars, 90% of the time, don't look good. Subtle but fairly low, & subtle rims is the right place for me.

Drop my max?

Well I think come spring I might be looking at dropping the Max. But I haev a few questions first.
One as of right now it might be with stock SE rims. Which I dont think are too bad for now.

Second is it reversable? Say come winter in Ma. I want to go back to stock height for snow etc. can i go back by just putting on old stuff eaily as taking it off?

What will I actually need? I figure the standard 1.5 inch drop would be fine. What is required? How high off the ground will that leave me?

Is leaving the stock rims on make it not worth it?

Thanks

Lowered Maximas...

Sorry Sexima but I have to disagree with you on this one (not just because me Maxima is lowered). Many sedans don't need to be lowered with aftermarket wheels, but the Maxima is not one of them. The gap is a little to big (3"-4") for a sporty look. After I put my Sprints on, the car did not look "slammed". It looked like a sport edition (low and sleek but not as if my tires are being covered by the wheelwells). True, the car is actually lower to the ground and it is MUCH easier to bottom out now, but for the handling (which is 500% better) and looks its definitetly worth it. Lowered all the way baby.

i may be mistaken but are you planing on getting rims before lowering?if thats the case you should lower first. you think the gap is bad now what till you get rims with no drop.it will look like you raised it.thats the mistake i made.
