another 2k2 HID consideration...
another 2k2 HID consideration...
I went at looked at the 2k2's today. and their HIDs dont come on when the car is off. unlike our lights, you can just turn the **** with the car off and they will come on.. I assume the HIDs don't remain on after the car is off, like ours do.
got me to thinking.. wonder why? my theory is voltage drop. I wonder if you ran the battery down with the HIDs on, if the ballasts would eat themselves up (voltage drops, amperage increases).
my thinking is that a relay would kick off at 8 or 9 volts anyway... so that might be a good reason to relay the highs and the HIDs. or power the relay with accessory power (since the system is (-) trigger anyway) I know that sounds painful, but may be a good preventative measure (over just using a diode to isolate the circuit).
dunno....

The Batter Saver Control Unit would shut them off after 45-seconds or so.

I had a thread open asking for help, but I guess no one wants to.
