ypipe + cat or ypipe + udp = more hp

I’m definitely getting a y-pipe, then I’ll have about 200 dollars left.
The question is; Should I get a udp or cat?
From what I’ve researched the udp will free up more horses than
The cat will provide, but do you lose out on any of the horsepower increases of having an aftermarket y-pipe because you don’t replace the other exhaust components?
Much Thanks

The y-pipe and exhaust go together. Like pigs in a blanket.

If you don't have it, get a RSB instead.
Also, do you have an intake? If not get that.

What mods do you have?

Y-pipe + catback = more hp

Y-pipe + udp = almost same hp as y pipe

Once again UDP does not ADD horsepower... it just FREES up hp.

The cat doesn't really add that much, the y and udp combo should do better. The install of the udp is more difficult, though. I have the y and cat, and I really didn't notice the cat.

The cat just quiets things down worth maybe 1 or 2 hp. I mean, if you have the $$$ and want a complete high-flow exhaust, by all means go for it. Otherwise, get the pulley.

if you don't have an intake then get one - you need an intake with a y-pipe or you're throwing your money away. then worry about cat + exhaust. Also your need for a cat depends on the number of miles on your car alone. don't expect more than 2-5 HP from any cat-back exhaust

UDP is SOOO much more worthwhile than the cat...I have one and I love it...of the mods that I have...it's on of the three that you can actually FEEL....including y-pipe and NOS.

Would you recommend the UDP more than the RSB though?
Cost are about the same, but install on the RSB is really easy.

UDP may be worth the money, but would you get this before the RSB?
