car wont start:(wel

well long story short, went to start my car, didnt start, it just made a clicking noise, lights in the car, came on, and everything, but car didnt start, and when i opened the hood, it made a grinding/clicking sound, is this the battery, i did replace the battery a few months back, and i drove the car to the mall, and 2 hours later, i came back, and it didnt want to start, any solutions

clicking as in the starter is actually engaging or as in just like a dead battery?

check the contacts on your starter, disconnect your battery cable when working with it tho. If you really want to see if its that, put on gloves, get a big screwdriver preferably insulated and cross the two contacts on the started with the key in the on position, if it turns over and starts bingo

i say try the touching the contacts idea with the key on, if that doesnt work then its not getting enough power to start meaning wiring or battery, if it does start its the contacts.
