Cabin Air Intake

Over the weekend I cleaned the engine bay on my 03 SE with Gunk Engine Brite. I must have gotten some of the Engine Brite in the cabin air intake area because now when I run the air, it smells of Engine Brite. Can someone tell me where the air intake is so that I can try to clean it out. After that I'll replace the microfilter and hopefully that will do the trick.

The cabin air filter is behind the glovebox.

Thanks, I know where the microfilter is. I'm trying to figure out where the air intake is under the hood.

I don't understand what you're asking then, there is an air intake for the motor and a cabin air filter for the air coming into the cabin...You want to know where the air enters the cabin through the filter I guess?!

It's by the passenger wiper. You have to take some trim parts out. The GUNK smell will go away. I don't know if it's worth taking everything apart.

Thanks, if its hard to get to then I will give it a couple weeks before bothering with it. Hopefully the smell will be gone by then.

No damage that i've noticed so far. I think engine brite is designed for engine cleaning. I used some wd40 afterwards to lube the rubber hoses. I've heard engine brite can make them brittle.

lol...wd-40 dries out ruber as well....get some tire foam (armorall) and coat all the rubber lines with it then rines off whats left after letting it sit for a bit to soak in.

(wd-40 works by removing moisture...)
