How do you tell if the HID bulbs are authentic?

I bought two replacement bulbs on line not too long ago. They were supposed to be McCulloch, but I really don't think so becasue they are identical to those cheap ones I have purchased before, though they work ok.

How do you tell whether they are authentic or not?

In the picture 1, these are the replacements the vendor sent me today for those blown ones that's still under warranty. They sure look much better quality but I just want to make sure..... They are so-called McCulloch.

In this one, I noticed some of the bulbs have a coating (deposit) inside the discharge chamber. I assume that's not normal.

the coating you see in the bulbs i believe are the metal halides (aka salt minerals) used in the bulbs
