That sucks. Sometime I leave my keys in the ignition because the key broke and I cant put it on a key ring so I leave it in the car. I wont do that nomore.

^^^I was thinking that also.

I am sorry to hear that. you called local towing companies to make sure it wasn't towed? Called police department to see if they have requested it towed?

I have read on here more times than I can recall about people thinking it was stolen, when really, it was parked illegally and towed. Sometimes it wasn't parked illegally, sometimes, it was thought to be abandoned by an apartment manager, so they called and had it pulled.

Hope this helps.

that sucks man. my sympathies.

my 3rd gen was stolen in california a couple of years back. it was found 6 days later parked in front of a fire hydrant with the windows down in the rain......but other than the mildew it was not damaged. i guess it was just a joyride.

i dont wanna get your hopes up, but i did see an older 4th gen maxima today in long island city with g35c rims. I took a double take only because of the rims, and a rather odd sounding exhaust. it sounded like a 5 spd as well. It was on jackson ave at about 825 or 830am. im not sure if it was se or gxe but it didnt have a sunroof. i didnt check the plate because i hadnt read this post yet. If i do see it again i will let you know, but i highly doubt it was your car anyway, so many of them around heere. sorry to hear about your loss, but like i said if i spot it again i will def notify you. how are your parking tickets, all paid up? i had my car towed from my driveway at 3am because of unpaid tickets, and had to get it out of the impound yard under the lie. sorry i couldnt validate the plate, but if i see it again, ill pm you. the plate number is written down and taped over my tach.

Yeah that happened to me last year. I called the police to report the car stolen but it turned out it was towed for $2000 worth of parking tickets.
