stilllen lip kit installation Problem *PICS*

I have a problem with the right side skirt.
It doesn't fit under the rear door. I think the previous owner of the car is responsible. Looks like he used a jack right under the door.
Has anyone experienced anyhting like this?
I don't want to cut the stilllen side, but what else can I do about this?

Anyone have any ideas?

Here are the pics of my right and left side, you can see that the left has a lot more room for the lip under the door.

Mine is the same way, but much worse. I didn't realize it till after I bought it. (still a great car for $500 )

Makes you wonder WTF people do to their cars, right?!

Kind of risking and could possibly mess your car up even more but you can try and use a pry bar and bend it back down. Thats the only thing I can think of otherwise you gotta cut your side skirt.

take a 2x4 and tap the top of the rocker down(3lb malleton top of the 2x4 to distribute the weight and not leave a mark). the second pic doesnt look to be off, so if you're hAving fitment issues on both sides it could just be that the stillen lip is too thick. i had that happen on my 3rd gen, i shaved down the inside of the lip for it to fit but after it was painted it was still too thick and rubbed. i have ionic sides and the skirt is very close to the door but doesnt rub in the back, just in between the doors.

I guess I'll just cut a little piece of the lip off.

? couldnt get the metal down? You cant use a hammer, it has to be a mallot3-5lb at least. and if you do have to shave the lip with a grinder , dont cut it

yeah, I coudn't get the rocker panel to go any lower. I don't think shaving it will make it fit. For it to fit I would need to shave it A LOT and it would probobly break off later. I rather cut it off neatly now.

Well, I donnu I'm still thinking about it.
