QUESTION ABOUT CATTMAN EXHAUST
QUESTION ABOUT CATTMAN EXHAUST
Hey hey - I have a question about the Cattman exhaust system, and maybe you guys can help me out. I've had the full system (headers to muffler) on my 98 for a few months now, and I've noticed that when I down-shift or coast, there seems to be this rumbling sound, almost like a sputter, from what sounds like the Y-pipe. It seems to disappear upon acceleration. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this, and was also curious as to whether or not this is the dreaded "bees in a can" sound. Any info you might have would rock. Thanks in advance!
IIRC, Cattman doesn't get the bees in the can.
On another max, he had a rattle that the B(just behind the cat) was rubbing on part of the sub frame or something. And his heat shield rubbed slightly. Hes an 00 with Cattman headers, Y and Megan catback. If you're sure its not a rattle noise, do you still have a leak(see sig?)?

i do still have the leak, and i know exactly where it's coming from (it's coming from the connection of the rear manifold and downpipe - brian catts said this was a pretty common place for a leak. i just haven't had the time for a re-torque!) i didn't think cattman had the bees sound, but i figured i would throw it out there anyway. thanks for the response, too. come to mention it, i too have a slight rattle when in reverse. thanks again!
