Indiglo gauges replacement

SO I got some indiglo gauges to put over the gauge faces in the bezel, and so I fearlessly jumped into the experience yesterday morning. I very carefully popped each needle straight up and off, installed my new faces, and put the needles them oh-so-gently back on. After calibrating em a lil, they are all happy and fine.... except my tach. Oy vey, the tach. It doesn't move, and after all my attempts, the best i could get was to get it to go up, and not back down. When I pulled that needle off, it took the whole rod thing out with it. Lame. Anyways, I knew there was a thread on here in the how-to's, but the link didn't work. And I scoured the internet only to find a "how to fix your broken needle" link... which was broken as well. argh. anyone have the information or know a live link with how to fix my poor bastardized little tach gauge??

Thanks!

you didnt have to remove the needles to install the gauges fyi, but the link to fix the broken needle should be in the 4th gen interior sticky. i recently bought some of those just havent had the time to install them. good luck man.

bend the gauges and slide them over the needles, praying not to break anything (well, that was my method)
