Turn key on and lights all come on as usual but when turn key to start I can't even hear the relay click. The starter does not engage or spin it is brand new only 2 weeks old. Battery tested at 13.2 volts. New ignition and put test light on wires coming of ignition and there is no kind of short. Also put a jumper wire in the neutral safety switch to test it to. My next step is this relay if I can find which one is which. Read in some old threads it was under the coolant resevoir but didn't see any there just on driverside fender.

 

it may be the anti-theft system malfunctioning if it is still connected.

Yes ive read this My car is a manual I put the jumper wire to eliminate that problem if it was it.
Yes the alarm is still connected. Should I unhook it?

 

try unhooking it, just to see if its the problem.

 

The only way you will have a relay box under your coolant reservoir would be if you had anti-lock brakes. Then your reservoir would be on the driver's side in exactly the same place that non anti-lock equiped cars is.

 

got it all figured out and it started right up.

 

Most probably Relay, wire, rotten supply cable under batt tray... sometimes worn ign sw.

Close those possibilities out and test starter relay by giving it direct +12V from battery with a test wire.

in the US the relay on the starter itself is called a solenoid.

 

I definitely wrote solenoid [did I? did] ... E-noids must have re-layed it into atlantic? Next time I'll send over two solenoids.
