'85 Max Suspension Help

Hi, I just joined Maxima.org. I have a 1985 Max SE w/ 86k on it in near perfect condition, except.....
the 16 year old suspension sucks. I know that Intrax and Suspension Techniques make lowering springs for the 86-88 2nd gen Maximas, but not for the 1985s. KYB makes struts for an 85, so im ok there, but I really want some springs, maybe 1" of lowering. Any suggestions??

Thanks

I think your SOL on getting a set of lowering springs for your car. For some odd reason, they don't make springs for the '85's but they make them for the '86's. I'm not quite sure what the difference is between the two cars.

Also, Eibach used to make a set of lowering springs for our cars. I checked at http://www.stillen.com and unfortunately the don't have them for the '85's but they still have some left over for the 86-88's.

Good luck,

-C-

Also, if you want more information about 2nd Generation Maximas, join the 2nd Generation Nissan Maxima Club at: http://clubs.yahoo.com/clubs/secondg...onnissanmaxima

There's alot of people who can help out with repairs, mods, and customization. There's also photographs of different 2gen Maximas and alot of links to helpful sites.
