To those who've removed the stock 9003 headlamp unit to replace it with the OE HIDs or just have the units taken out to do other work, can you please take a couple of pics of the back of the headlamp assembly?
Thanks

Colonel & Greg >>
Colonel: It's not something that can be explained. I want to see how the 5th Gens non-HID lamps are put together. I tried going to the dealership, but the salesmen didn't like me poking around under the hoods of the cars I had not intention of buying. I don't know anyone personally that drives a 5th Gen so that is out of the question. I don't know if you know it, but I am kind of working on a modification to the lamps of the 4th Gens to accept the 9003 bulb in lieu of the 9004.
Greg: 9003 is an AISI designation for the H4 bulb. I believe that due to the internal shielding of the 9003/H4 bulb, the DOT is specific to the 9003 designation. For some reason, they seem to have no problem with the H1, H3, H7 and H9 designations. Also, when refering to the actual headlamp type, the designation for a unit using the 9003 bulb would be HB2. This marking can be seen on the lens of your headlamp.
