I have to (for the 3rd time) take out my tranny to fix a leak from the rear seal.
I have an engine support bar and was curious how some of you use it to support your VQ30DE/K. I have been using the side engine mount (passenger side) and the front engine mount bracket as supporting points for the engine. But would like to support the engine at a 3rd point. Any ideas from you guys would be appreciated. Thanks.

Well, that's usually what I used to support the engine, up until I have to unbolt the oil pans. I was just curious if there is another place I can used a chain and support it at another point on the engine and have the transverse engine support hold it. BTW, thanks for your reply.
I placed a 2x4 across the strut towers with a chain and you can use coat hangars, bail wire, safety wire, or a jack under the engine ( like a small bottle jack). If you have a garage then a floor jack could be used! If you're in an apt or multi unit dwelling I would leave any thing out cause peoples fingers are really sticky these days!
