Help: 2k2 Hid conversion wiring on drivers side

So I got the passenger side wired up, but the color codes were different from the instructions and are not the same as the passenger as on the drivers side. What is the correct wiring for a 2k max to a 2k2 Hid conversion for the drivers side?

(my drawing is crude but I didn't have my circuit design software back then.)

Pink/blue is the + wire
Blue/white is the ground for high
Green/yellow should be taped off so you can ground the low from the HID ballast so you can have lows on with your high beams

High clip is the High beam plug. L and R means nothing I just did for some crazy reason.

The one on the right with the red arrow = pink/blue
The one in the middle with the blue arrow = what ever you want and ground it to the car
The left one is the running light with the black arrow = Red/yellow

I have a pink/black....no pink/blue.

How about how the high beams factor in and also the two wires from the parking lights?

Turning Signal Wires:
Red/Yellow - parking lights
Black - ground
Green/Yellow - turn signal blinker
H4 Wires (Driver Side):
Green/Yellow - ground (low beam)
Blue/White - Ground (high beam)
Pink/Blue - 12 Volts
H4 Wires (Passenger Side):
Blue/Black - ground (low beam)
Green/Black - ground (high beam)
Orange/Black - 12 Volts

http://forums.maxima.org/showthread....t=retrofit+hid

The high beams do not connect into the 3 wire connector as they have there own connector (you should have these if not they 0.95 cents at walmart). If I recall they don't have polarity so make sure one is the ground (blue/white) and splice into the power off the one that runs into the 3 wire plug (pink/blue).

It probably looks black but its blue a very very dark blue

so blue/white(high) connects with pink/blue and the wire with the red arrow if I understand you correctly

Then Green/Yellow is grounded to the car along with....which wire...or is it just grounded straight to the car?

I think right now I have blue/white connected to one of my high beam plug wires and then I have pink/blue plugged into the ground wire of the plug along with a ground wire going to the car. The last wire on the plug is connected straight to the Red/yellow wire

I f'n hate wiring.

don't ground the Green/yellow wire to the car just tape it off and don't use it. You can ground the lows with whatever wire you want, this ground should be the wire that comes from the middle wire on the connector from the headlight

as for the pink/blue wire you should end up with 2 wires connected to it and thats it the rest should have one wire coming from them except for the ground low which has none.

okay try the pink/black to the 12v source which plugs in the one with three wires

Also attach the pink/black to one of the high beam wires as well

the black wire is a ground for the turn signal so attach it to one of the wires for the two wire connector

attach the green/black wire to the other turn signal wire.

attach the red/yellow wire to the correct one on the 3 wire connector

okay so at this point you should have just two green/yellow wires

one of these is the low ground and the other is the high ground

so your gonna to try both and attach one at a time to the high beam harness, which ever works tape the other one off

I hope this is correct, cause there is only 3 wires for each harness on your original headlights, for some reason nissan didn't color code yours correctly.

I hope this works for you.

Ok, I will go out and check it again. I tried wiring it up to match exactly what the other side was because everything works on the otherside. I am really getting frustrated because I don't know what is going on and I feel like I have tried everything. The stealership wants like a $100 to diagnose the problem.

I also only have one green yellow wire on the drivers side and on another side note, my turn signals and the parking light works fine, just no high or low beams....funny though....it doesn't come on on the passenger side with the working low and high beams. It's just the high or low beams that doesn't work on the drivers side.

First don't take it to the dealership cause they have no clue how this mod works.

Second if you can get a multimeter this would solve all your problems

last, in the pic I see two Green/Yellows ????

Yes I did do that as well and the headlight did not work. I pretty much switched headlights and plugged the drivers side headlight into the passenger and visa versa at the same time and neither headlights worked.

Thank you guys. I still am having problems and have followed the guide down to the wire. I will try and wire it up like the guide says, but I was wondering, I am going to test the voltage coming from each plug.....does anyone know the correct amount of voltage that comes from each plug and to test the voltage, do the lights need to be switched on?

Ok, so I am somewhat fixed the issue. I have two low beams now, but the high beam doesn't work and the low beams act as parking lights when the parking lights are just turned on/

I switched the outside wires of the gray so the left wire of the plug went with pink/blue + high beam wire and the right side of the plug went to Red/Yellow.

Unfortunately now I only still have the high beam on the passengers side and the drivers side low beam acts as a parking light when I have the parking lights turned on or whenever they blink when my alarm is armed and disarmed. Any ideas?

i dont think its good for a HID bulb to flash like that.it will probably damage it. so you should get checked real quick. also this is the first thread that i saw that sooner posted a comment and it didnt help the the question.maybe he need to chill a little.

so you haven't checked with the multimeter yet? this is very easy to do. put one probe to ground of car, next one to the wire you are checking, turn on the switch and see if it has battery voltage, if it does, then you know which wire that is. then check the other wire to confirm that it is the other function (hi or low beam).

Aaron, if you like, I can give you a hand with this. I have a multimeter, etc and we can troubleshoot. I have time off until like the 13th on paternity leave.

I'm having 2 issues.

1st.

I wired up the headlights using the diagram. The highs and lows work fine. i'm having issues with:

The upper clear running light (above the amber blinker) on the pass. side It will not come on. The Dr. side works. Tested the bulb it works. The Dr. side headlight is OEM the pass side (which won't work is an Aftermaket DEPOT light)

Here are pictures of my connections.

DEPOT (aftermarket headlight)

OEM

2nd.
The turn signal harness. I dont have one for both of the lights. can I purchase one? Couldnt find one in autozone/pepboys/ walmart ect...

Turning Signal Wires:
Red/Yellow - parking lights
Black - ground
Green/Yellow - turn signal blinker

That's the wiring set up for the 2000-01 turn signals correct?
