mine does, but i had it professionaly installed....sometimes when someone shuts a door before drivers side door is shut and it decides to lock on its own. when I open it next time with the alarm remote, the stock one goes off and I have to use the key in the door, but that don't happen very often.

I'd just unplug the factory alarm.

i could do that but than if some one finds a way to get in the trunk the alarm wouldnt go off(and i have seen it before). that goes the same for the hood. i dont know about the rest of you. but i plan on keeping whats in my car and not just having a big noise maker that only goes off when the shock senosr moves. not if the oem alarm goes off when the doors unlock than cool but i dont think it would. so i want to know if there is a way to use the oem disarm wire and mix it with my new alarm so when i unlock or lock my doors the oem alarm arm/disarms? and where is a good place to put my shock sensor? i would like it to able to notice when the MAX is being lifted off the ground but i know that mite not be possible but if anyone has any ideas im down.

Youll get unpredictable system when mixing. If u want working system, do as told. There is 'some' experience behind...

The hood & trunk switches are wired to/under dash. The one who installs the new system, has no problems finding em... If u cant, buy the expertise. Or live without alarm...

Everythin is possible, what is feasible? The more sensors, the greater is the detection 'sensitivity'. False alarms increase in square, neighbors 'love' that. Six good clean and checked switches, glass brake plus another (new) carefully installed detector should be enough - whatever there is, if car value standing unattended on the street, is over 100.000, it will be gone.

Think if totally separate switch to some other feature, say fuel pump killer, hazard lights ON, SAFE-mode activation (campos signal 'killer') or whatever surprises against fun riders - would be good in your environment.

yes,i installed my own alarms on all 3 vehicles....no, you cant know exactly everthing i did.....IF you leave the factory alarm connected it will only go off(horn honking)
IF you\someone physically locks the door by the lock button or pushing the lock down
or if the trunk is closed (last)after all doors BEFORE arming the aftermarket one

most shop installs ive seen zip tie it to the metal part of the steering column
but that might be different for proximity sensors
as for you wanting it to go off if the car is lifted?is that in case someone
tries to steal your wheels?or in case someone tries to go under you car and
mess with stuff? because you know they get off on watching you work
to undo all their sabatoge...i guess you could leave something hidden
in your center console or glove box that would roll out of place if they()
lifted your car for either reason because then you would know, but they
wouldnt know you know....know what i know?

or you could just get a good alarm in the first place that would have inputs for the hood and trunk. also, you'd want one of those mercury tilt switches if you want to know if the car is being lifted.

I guess it would depend on how its wired. I had mine professionally done about 10 years ago and my factory alarm works in sync with the aftermarket. The security light comes on the dash for 30 seconds or whatever it is when I arm the alarm and they both arm and disarm together. I have tested it by unlocking the doors with a window open while armed and then opening a door. I get horn and siren. Its great. I wouldnt think I get both for motion (cant tell because my motion crapped out years ago). Unfortunately I cant tell you how its wired but it is possible. Maybe something to do with where you tap into the door locks? Good luck.

i agreed with Reizy. I have seen this done to other cars and many of them nissans i slowly toying with it a lil bit but i have a tranny leak i gotta fix 1st. i think i need to figure out where the ignition coil wire is and what they (alarm maker) mean my ignition key switch.

You should not be using both controls. You might mess up the computer system.
