Avic-D3 Bose Wiring

Finally got enough posts to make a thread. Anyways I installed it, but now I get a pop and a little whine. The pop comes after I turn the HU off and whine is so low you gatta be **** to notice, but I did. I disconnected my ground and the HU is still grounded.

Are the two(?) extra grounds on the metra RCA unit (7551?) connected to a ground?

Also would the D3 ground itself through the bracket.

I've done some reading but can't find my mistake.

I believe those grounds are for the HU and the Bose amp. The HU should also be grounded through the diversity antenna.

What I did was connect all of my grounds from the harness together to the factory ground wire. It works fine. But, others suggest to create your own ground on most Nissans.
