I just bought a Fosgate Punch P5002 amp and i have 2 older Punch P2 single voice coil subwoofers , Ide like to know the best wiring setup for maximum performance, if i bridge it and run both subs i pop the fuses in the amp, its seems its a 2 ohm load but iam not sure, i cant seem to find specs on the older model subs , i beleave there 4ohms .

Some dual wiring diagrams or ideas would help, thanks in advance.

I also have a Audiobahn Immortal 12 inch sub, it has 4 voice coils, looking at there site, it seems i can only wire it either in a 8ohm or 0.5 ohm load, since my amp cant do a half ohm is there any other options beside buying a new amp ? i just got the amp 2 wks ago. Thats in the works, until then i am using the fosgates

well that solves one issue, thanks, damn my amp cant handle the 2ohm load........sucky, i should return it.

 

You should research before you install and educate yourself.

1) The amp is 2 ohm stable
2) however not gonna work in bridged mode.

 

I know i shoulda but the guy told me it handled the 2 ohm load and i was sold, $250 for a new Fosgate Punch P5002
