Axle/driveshaft replacement and tranny fluid

Hi,

I am going to replace both front axles/driveshafts soon. Since the auto tranny fluid will spill out and I have only 8k miles on the amsoil ATF, can I reuse it or just put in some new ATF?

Does the fluid spill out while removing both axles - driver and passenger?

Thanks.

If the oil is fairly new like you say then yes I would reuse it. Just get a clean pan. Make sure it is clean. Like use brake cleaner to wipe it out really good n make sure around the trans where the axles go is clean also just so the oil doesnt become too contaminated and you will be fine.

Yes the oil will drain out when you pull the axles.

Some will come out when the axles are removed, but not all too much. The majority of it is in the pan (well, the TC as well but that's no problem), well below the diff area.
