VAFC help with intake and y-pipe only?

Will the VAFC help make power on a car with just a y pipe and an intake? I am going to get the 00vi later but don't have the money yet. Would adding just the VAFC increase my cars performance with a little tuning?

It might help a little doubt anything to noticeable. I have the apex'i neo and i didnt notice much difference and all i have is intake,y,and catback. I mainly got it because i had plans to do a S/C or motor swap. Ive priced a few de-k's and that looks like what im going to go with. I would honestly hold off on it until you get a VI or go nitrous or forced induction. first thing i would get is a wideband to see if you are running lean or in most cases rich.

If the AFR is dialed in 'properly', yes, it can help probably even a stock car.

Raise the fuel pressure and tune with the afc. this will add timing and free up some power.
