Okay heres the story i have this sound coming from my front passenger side on left turns or when its cold out side... its a crunching sound that sometimes pops!! The worst is in the morning its crunches and pops until the car kinda warms up and the metal heats up.... some times when rolling aroudn 10-20 mph and i wiggle my steering wheel back n forth its crunches really badly!!

okay i replaced axle couz i had that sound there before and my axle was going...

i put the new axle on 2 weeks later comes back... drove like this about 6 months.... got a new axle

I drive off with the same sound...

So i come back to my mechanic he checks my bearings, my ball joints, everything is peachy and steardy... now i was thinking maybe its my strut mount... we didnt take it off yet but there no play in the suspension at all when we pick it up, theres no plays in the strut plate or can feel it moving...

WHAT GIVES!!

my friend max his axle is ripped and goign bad and he has the smae sound... but hoow can 2 axles 1 rebuilt 1 new going bad rite away.... i just dont believe its that.

Heres my checklist for all the things i checked.
-balljoint
-bearings
-control arm
-brakes
-strut mount (but have not physcially taken of, my friends was bad but he said it never sounded liek that and ucan hear it pop when u wiggle the steering wheel, all u hear on mine is my rack thats slowly going)

any suggestions fellas?

im jusst tired of replacing parts thats are not solving my PROBLEM! =[

oh ya, it does not pull to any side, it does not shake its drive fine!! juss makes noise i dont get it

 

in my opinion if you can sit still and turn the wheel all the way in both directions and you hear popping and such its probably the strut mount Bering it will not show sighns of wear visibly without taking the strut out to inspect

 

thats the thing... when im sitting still it makes no SOUND! only when theres load on it....

all u hear is my rack clicking...
