Who else has this problem with the manual shifter cover?

Whenever i shift my 6MT into reverse it pops the shifter cover off. how can i prevent this from happening? I have to pop it back down every time and its getting annoying

that makes it a mess when you actually need to pull the cover.

is the part that snaps closed above or below the little 'donut' thing that you pull up for reverse? If thats up too high, though i dont thing they'd design it that bad, then unsnap it and move down a bit below that ring/donut/whatever and that should do the trick.

The plastic piece at the base of the shifter surround.

When you shift into reverse, is your boot being fully tugged from the front? You probably have the boot "velcro'd" too high up. It should sit somewhat below the collar, so you can see the top part of the plastic.

oh now i see what you guys are saying... I didn't think it would be that simple but that fixed it lol... thanks guys
